The Teachers Service Commission has initiated disciplinary action against 5,000 head teachers for failing to adhere to the code of regulation for teachers.<br />According to a statement from the teachers’ employer, the 5,000 have been issued with show cause notices for failing to ensure the welfare of learners was addressed despite stoppage of school work.<br /><br />“While most administrative staff have complied with the directive as per the provisions of the Code of Regulations for Teachers, some have not. As a result the commission has served 5,000 with show cause letters to commence the start of the disciplinary action against those teachers,” read the statement.
